The Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language

The year 2021 was included in the list of commemorations and celebrations of UNESCO on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the passing away of Yunus Emre who is one of the illustrious personalities of Turkic culture and language. On January 30th, 2021, the Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey  published a circular declaring the year 2021 as "Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language". Within this framework, various events will be carried out under the motto "Turkish as a World Language". May the Year of Yunus Emre and Turkish Language be a fruitful oportunity for us to promote the Turkish language as the common language of our civilization on a global scale.
