Prof. Kaseinov who started studying at the Tattimbet High School of Music in 1961 pursued his studies at the Kurmangazy State Institute of Fine Arts between 1965 – 1970. Prof. Kaseinov who also worked as a member of the Chamber Orchestra of Kazak Radio and Television in Almaty, Kazakhstan, while he was still a student, pursued his professional career as an instructor at the Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Between 1972 – 1978, he assumed the duty of Chief Instructor at the Kurmangazy State Conservatory of Almaty.
After having worked as a member of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra for three years, Prof. Kaseinov returned to Kazakhstan where he assumed the function of Chair of the Department of Violin of the Kurmangazy State Conservatory of Almaty which he was the Rector of until 1997.
In 1997, Prof. Dusen Kaseinov was appointed Chairman of the Culture Committee and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following his appointment as Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan in 2003, Prof. Kaseinov worked as Special Duty Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan between 2004 – 2005.
Having pursued his professional career as Special Representative of the Republic of Kazakhstan in charge of cultural and social affairs to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) between 2005 – 2008, Prof. Kaseinov also assumed executive functions within various NGOs.
In recognition of his valuable contribution to the rapprochement of cultures and international diplomatic relations, Prof. Dusen Kaseinov received various awards from many countries and international organizations around the world throughout his career.
Prof. Dusen Kaseinov has now been assuming the function of Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture since 2008.
