Secretary General Raev met with the Deputy President of the National Assembly of Hungary Mr. Lezsák
Within the framework of his official meetings in Hungary, Secretary General Raev met with the Deputy President of the Hungarian National Assembly Mr. Sándor Lezsák.
On June 15th, 2022, TURKSOY Secretary General Raev visited the “Hungarikum Liget” complex in the town of Lakitelek together with the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Hungary H. E. Mr. Talantbek Kushchubekov and the Excecutive Director of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary Ambassador Dr. Janos Hovari and came together with the Deputy President of the National Assembly of Hungary Mr. Sandor Lezsák .
Prior to the meeting Mr. Lezsák led Secretary General Sultan Raev and his delegation through a visit of the “Hungarikum Liget” complex built in 1991 to preserve Hungarian culture and showed them museums and cultural centers which carry out activities therein.
In the meeting where both parties discussed ties between TURKSOY and Hungary, Secretary General Raev stressed that cultural ties between TURKSOY member countries and Hungary have gained in impetus and reached a higher level in recent years. Secretary General Raev who also expressed his gratitude to Mr. Lezsak for this precious opportunity to get acquainted with Hungarian culture further stressed that the “Hungarikum Liget” Complex is a model for TURKSOY member countries.
Other issues discussed in the meeting pertained to the strong participation of Turkic republics in the Great Hun-Turkic Congress to take place in Hungary as well as the official visit of Mr. Sandor Lezsak to the Kyrgyz Republic amongst others.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Raev offered to Mr. Lezsak the souvenir plate of TURKSOY especially dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the birthday of Armin Vambery.
