Concert featuring melodies from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan

A concert featuring the soloist Lara Rysbay from Kazakhstan accompanied by artists of the Tashkent branch of the State Philharmony of Uzbekistan took place in Etimesgut. The concert organized in cooperation of the Municipality of Etimesgut with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) took place in the Korkut Ata Congress and Cultural Center and gathered the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa Alinur Aktaş and the Mayor of  Etimesgut Enver Demirel along with many guests.

In the speech he delivered at the opening of the event, the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY  Mr. Bilal Çakıcı expressed his appreciation regarding activities carried out by the Municipality of Etimesgut to strengthen ties of brotherhood between Turkic republics and said:  ''In line with its strong commitment to the strengthening of ties of brotherhood among peoples speaking a common language and sharing a common history and culture, the Municipality of Etimesgut  has carried out many projects aiming at the preservation of our common culture and made strong contributions to the promotion of Turkic culture on an international scale with festivals, concerts and academic activities it carried out within the framework of its cooperation with our organization. Hence, I would therefore like to express my gratitude to the Mayor of Etimesgut Mr. Enver Demirel and wish you all a pleasant evening.'' 

The Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa Mr. Alinur Aktaş who also delivered a speech at the event reminded of the fact that  Bursa will bear the title of Cultural Capital of the Turkic World throughout the year 2022 and said: "When I went to Ankara, the Mayor of Etimesgut Mr. Enver Demirel showed me the the Museum and Park of Turkic History. I have been to many countries and visited many museums but this museum is really wonderful. It really gives a clear and comprehensive insight into our history. I am sure that many people and delegations from Bursa will come to visit this museum. Whoever comes to Ankara shouldnot leave the city without having  visited the Mausoleum of Atatürk and this museum. I believe that we will be attending a beautiful concert this evening and I congratulate and thank all those who have contributed to its organization right away.”

In the speech he delivered on the occasion of the concert, the Mayor of the Municipality of Etimesgut who hosted the event  said that the Municipality of Etimesgut is strongly committed to the preservation and promotion of Turkic culture and art and added: "We have brought together our citizens of Etimesgut with artists whom we listened to at the 38th Term Meeting of the Permanent Council of Ministers of Culture of TURKSOY held in the city of Khiva declared as Cultural Capital of the Turkic World  2020. They gave a wonderful concert. I would like to express my gratitude to the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of Bursa Mr. Alinur Aktaş for having visited our muesum and attended this event of ours. I hereby congratulate the city of Bursa for its selection as Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2022.”

The concert featured performances of songs and dances from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
