Meeting on Theater in the Turkic World
The Chairman of the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries Prof. Dr. Israfil Israfilov met with the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bilal Çakıcı.
Prof. Dr. Israfil Israfilov from the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Art who is a member of the International Union of Theater Critics and the Chairman of the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries and has been invited to Turkey to receive the International Theater Award of TURKSOY within the framework of the7th International Theater Awards in recognition of his service in the field of theater criticism visited TURKSOY Headquarters.
Prof. Dr. Israfilov who was welcomed by the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Bilal Çakıcı conveyed his gratitude to TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov for the International Theater Award. Prof. Dr. Israfilov who also said that International TURKSOY Awards are being handed over for the first time to theater artists of the Turkic World within the framework of the Seventh International Theater Awards of Anatolia stressed that this award stands for the importance attached by TURKSOY to theater artists and their contribution to the art of therater.
Prof. Israfilov who also touched upon activities carried out by the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries as part of the organization expressed his strong appreciation regarding activities carried out by TURKSOY in the field of theater exchanged views with Deputy Secretary General Çakıcı regarding the General Assembly of the Board of Theater Directors of TURKSOY Member Countries which is planned ton take place in Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2022.
Prof. Dr. Israfilov further gave some information on his book recently published in Azerbaijan on “Stanislavski and the Grammar of the Art of Acting" offered a copy of the book to the library of TURKSOY.
TURKSOY Secretary General Bilal Çakıcı expressed his gratitude to Prof. Dr. Israfil Israfilov and stressed his belief in the fact that his book on “Stanislavski and the Grammar of the Art of Acting" which has been published by theater departments and will also be translated into Turkish language in the future will be strong contribution to theater education in universities of Turkey.
