Joyful Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of Turkic Republics in Constanta

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics, a concert featuring "Melodies of the Turkic World" and a photography exhibition entitled "Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan on the 30th Anniversary of their Independence" was held in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Embassy of Romania in Constanta.

The concert and the exhibition took place in the Archeology Park of Constanta which offers a pleasant atmosphere for cultural events with its  historical monuments and gathered the Deputy Mayor of Constanta Ionuț Rusu, the Undersecretary of the Embassy of Kazakhstan Kayrat Karabayev, the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Constanta Emre Yurdakul and representatives of local institutions and organizations as well as citizens of Constanta.

In the speech he delivered, the Deputy Mayor of Constanta expressed his gratitude to TURKSOY and to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Romania for having organized this event introducing Turkic culture and art to amateurs of art of Constanta. Deputy Mayor Rusu who also said that such events foster the friendship and rapprochement among peoples in Constanta where there are many minorities expressed his wish as to the organization of many more such events which contribute to the strengthening of ties of brotherhood among them.

The event went on with the concert featuring colourful performances of professional artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Turkmenistan which were strongly appreciated by the audience.

Citizens of Constanta who also showed great interest in the photography exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan examined each of the photographs offering an artistic insight into the ancient monuments, ancestral traditions, colourful cuisine and traditional lifestyles of Turkic republics.
