Exhibition of TURKSOY inaugurated in the presence of Ambassadors of the Turkic World in Hatay
Hatay hosted the photography exhibition of TURKSOY dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Metropolitan Municipality of Hatay took place in the Gastronomy House of Hatay and gathered TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov, the Governor of Hatay Rahmi Doğan, the Mayor of Hatay Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lütfü Savaş, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ankara H. E. Hazar Ibrahim, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ankara H. E. Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Ankara H. E. Alisher Agzamhodjayev, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ankara H. E. Ishankuly Imanliyev and the Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ankara Ashat Davutov.
In the speech he delivered at the opening of the exhibition TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov expressed his happiness to be organizing this exhibition of photographs dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics in Hatay, the cradle of civilizations. Secretary General Kasseinov who said that thanks to the support it gets from its member countries, TURKSOY invests major efforts in cultural and artistic interaction further added: “Celebrations of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics will go on throughout the year. The exhibition will feature works by the most distinguished photographers of the Turkic World. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Lütfü Savaş, a friend of TURKSOY and the Turkic World for his valuable support. May our unity last forever.”
In the opening speech he delivered at the exhbition, Mr. Lütfü Savaş said: “It is a great pleasure for us to welcome our kindred people in Hatay, the border city which is the last legacy of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We are honoured to host this exhibition. May God preserve and protect our unity of linguistic, cultural and spiritual unity.”
The Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ankara H. E. Hazar Ibrahim said: “This is our home. Welcome. Hatay is always in our heart. The people of Turkey and Azerbaijan will live united forever as one nation. It is our duty to strengthen this tie” and added that Azerbaijan will be supporting the EXPO to be held in Hatay.
The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H. E. Kubanychbek Omuraliyev who also said a few words stressed that 30 years ago, a new chapter began in the history of the Turkic World and added that ties among Turkic speaking countries must be fostered.
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan H. E. Alisher Agzamhadjaev expressed his pleasure to be in Hatay which a city with a history dating back to thousands of years and added that the exhibition will make a strong contribution to the unity of Turkic peoples.
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan H. E. Ishankuli Amanliyev who also took the floor at the event said that this exhibition introduces the culture and art of Turkmenistan to Hatay and its citizens and added: “This year was declared year of Peace and Confidence in our country. This once again reminds us of the importance of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s maxim ‘Peace at Home, Peace in the World”. I look forward to further raise the level of ties of brotherhood and friendship between our respective countries.”
The Governor of Hatay Mr. Rahmi Doğan who was also present at the opening of the exhibition made some statements. Governor Doğan who said that photos displayed at the exhibition are very precious further added: “Of course, it would be even better to go and see the places dipslayed in these photographs. It will be paramount for our countries to foster tourism and increase the number of cultural visits and scientific meetings. Our Mayor Lütfü Savaş will pay a visit to ambassadors in Ankara and invite them to the EXPO which is very important for us. We look forward to welcomeing you more often in Hatay.”
