First visit to TURKSOY Headquarters after the pandemic outbreak: The poet Kenan Çarboğa
The poet Kenan Çarboğa was the first to visit TURKSOY Headquarters where he met with TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov in his office following the relaxation of anti-epidemic measures.
In the meeting which took place in the presence of the Representative of Azerbaijan to TURKSOY Mr. Elçin Gafarlı and the Representative of Kyrgyzstan to TURKSOY Mr. Kojogeldi Kuluyev, participants exchanged information on the poet’s book “Korkutname” published by TURKSOYand discussed cooperation activities to be undertaken to promote the literature of the Turkic World within the framework of the Year of Abai 2020.
Secretary General Kasseinov extended his gratitude to Mr. Çarboğa for having contributed to the enrichment of the common literature of Turkic peoples with his translations of works by poets of the Turkic World such as Ahmed Cavad, Mikail Mushfik, Cafer Cabbarlı, Samed Vurgun, Hidayet (Azerbaijan), Jambyl Jabayev, Olcas Suleymenov, Abay Kunanbayev (Kazakhstan), Alikul Osmanov, Kojogeldi Kultegin (Kyrgyzstan), Mustay Kerim (Bashkortostan) into Turkish language.
At the end of meeting, the poet Kenan Çarboğa from Sivas, offered a table clock to TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov as a souvenir from Sivas.
