Condolence message of TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov for the passing away of the famous author and state artist of Kyrgyzstan Elmirbek Imanaliyev
It is with deep sorrow that I have been informed of the passing away of the famous manas author and state artist of Kyrgyzstan Elmirbek Imanaliyev who was not only a great artist and author but also a distinguished friend of mine. I hereby express my most sincere condolences to his beloved family and relatives as well as to all artists of Kyrgzystan and the Kyrgyz people. May he rest in peace.
The late Elmirbek Imanaliyev, state artist, famous poet and minstrel of Kyrgyzstan was also a manas author, musician and actor who transmitted the art of improvisation and story-telling which he learned from famous peers such as Estebes, Tuuganbay and Ashyraly to young generations. Elmirbek Imanaliyev was a great artist who was strongly appreciated by his people. As one of the iconic representatives of the Kyrgyz minstrelship tradition, Imanaliyev's fame reached out beyond the borders of Kyrgyzstan to other countries of the Turkic World and the success he achieved in many national and international competitions turned him into a common hero of Turkic peoples. As an active conributor to events carried out by the International Organization of Turkic Culture, the late Imanaliyev also had successfully taken part in events carried ut by TURKSOY in 2014 on the occasion of events dedicated by the latter to the 150th anniversary of the birthday of the famous Kyrgyz minstrel Toktogul Satylganov.
Elmirbek Imanaliyev who received the Medal of Toktogul Satylganov from TURKSOY had reached many successful achievements throughout his relatively short life. With thecultural and artistic legacy of works he left behind, he will be remembered as an illustrious personalityby young generations.
Hence, on behalf of the International Organization of Turkic Culture I hereby reiterate my most sincere condolences to the famlily and relatives of Mr. Imanaliyev. May his soul rest in peace.
