The Tour of the Youth Chamber Choir of TURKSOY is going on

On July 20th, the Youth Chamber Choir of TURKSOY took the scene in Serbia and introduced melodies of the Turkic World to amateurs of music in  Novi Pazar.

The concert which took place in the cultural center of Novi Pazar was dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Yunus Emre Institute which has 57 centers in 49 countries and works in close cooperatiopn with  TURKSOY.

Prior to the concert, Secretary General  Kasseinov met with officials at the National Assembly of Bosnia Herzegovina and the municipality of  Novi Pazar.

In the meeting which took place at the National Assembly of Bosnia Herzegovina, officials informed artists about the Sandjak region and  Secretary General Kasseinov gave some information on TURKSOY, its mission  and activities it carries out.

Later on, a meeting was held at the municipality of Novi Pazar where Ambassador Kasseinov gave some information on activities carried out by TURKSOY in the Balkans  and said that from now on TURKSOY is willing to carry out more projects in Serbia.

The opening speeches of the concert held in the Cultural Center of Novi Pazar were delivered by the President of the Bosnian National Assembly Jasmina Curic, the Mayor of Novi Pazar  Nihat Bishevac and TURKSOY Secretary General  Dusen Kasseinov.

In his speech, Secretary General Kasseinov said: 

“I am happy to say that the cooperation between TURKSOY and Serbia is growing stronger day by day and that major efforts are being made to institutionalize this cooperation. Indeed, dance ensembles from Novi Pazar had contributed to gala concerts of Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World in    Kastamonu in 2018 and in the city of  Osh  in Kyrgyzstan in 2019. I would like to thank all our partners for their friendship and devotion to art and culture. On this occasion, let me also congratulate the  Yunus Emre Institute on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of its establishment”.

With their colourful traditional garments, artists who took the scene at the concert featuring music of the Turkic World literally enchanted the audience. Traditional songs of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tatarstan (RF) such as  Kara Toprak, Uzun Ince Bir Yoldayım, Gombay Builary, Karasuvnyn Dort Koshessy, Nebaxırsen, Daglarda Chıchak and Soygonum Chıksa Bolboybu left undelible traces in the memories of  spectators who expressed their appreciation with a strong applause. 

At the end of the concert,  Secretary General Kasseinov extended a plaquette of TURKSOY to the Chairperson of the Mladih Association, Mrs.  Emina Brunchevich for her devoted support and warm-hearted hospitality.

The tour of the Youth Chamber Orchestra of TURKSOY will go on with a concert in the city of Budva in Montenegro on July 22nd followed by a concert in Cetinje on July 24th, 2019.
