Unforgettable performance of the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of TURKSOY in Istanbul

The Orchestra of Folk Instruments of TURKSOY composed of national instruments of the Turkic Worldgave a wonderful concert featuring famous soloists of the Turkic World in Istanbul on November 7th, 2018.

The concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY took place in the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall in Istanbul and gathered TURKSOY Secretary General, Ambassador  Dusen Kaseinov, the Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Tuırkey and Chairman of the Archers’ Foundation Haydar Ali Yıldız, the Mayor of Istanbul Mevlüt Uysal and the Member of the Board of Trustees of the Archers’ Foundation Bilal Erdoğan along with representatives of various institutions and organizations as well as journalists and many guests.

The Orchestra of Folk Instruments of TURKSOY which took the scene in Istanbul prior to its tour to Japan organized on the occasion of the Year of Japan in Turkey 2019 featured artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Bashkortostan (RF), Khakassia (RF), Tyva (RF), Sakha-Yakutia (RF), Gagauzia (Moldova) and Mongolia who accompanied soloists and dancers of the Turkic World. The concert was strongly appreciated by the audience which clapped to the rhythm of colourful songs and dances.

The concert which left indelible traces in the memories of spectators ended with a group photograph gathering protocol members and artists. 

First tour of an orchestra of TURKSOY to Japan 

Within the framework of its tour to Japan following its concert in Istanbul, the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of TURKSOY will give 6 concerts in 4 cities of Japan between November 13th-20th, 2018.

The tour of the orchestra to Japan will be hosted by the ministries of culture of TURKSOY member countries  along with embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Turkey  in Japan and organized in cooperation with the  Yunus Emre Institute and the Archers’ Foundation. Within the framework of its tour the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of TURKSOY will take the scene in Tokyo, Kawasaki, Yokohama and Hamamatsu. Within the framework of this tour, senior artists of the orchestra which gathers 50 musicians from 12 countries this year will also give proficiency courses regarding  Turkic Folk dances and national instruments for students of the Tokyo University of Arts.
