Exhibition on "The Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Great Steppe" in Turkey

Within the framework of the project to be carried out in cooperation of TURKSOY with the State Museum of Kazakhstan, an exhibition entitled "The Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Great Steppe" will take place in Turkey from November 9th, to December 9th, 2018.

Within the framework of its activities to explore and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World, TURKSOY will organize an exhibition together wih the State Central Museum of Kazakhstan featuring  archeological and ethnographic items reflecting the "Cultural Heritage of the Great Steppe".

The exhibition which will take place in the Turkish Islamic Museum in  Istanbul will feature archeological items of nomadic peoples of Central Asia as well as ethnographic items reflecting the lifestyle, environment and cultural specificities of the kazak people. 

The exhibition will also feature the "Golden Man", one of the most important archeological findings of Kazakhstan which turned into its symbol, along with items belonging to different civilizations and cultures which existed before Christ in the region currently known as Kazakhstan. The exhibition will be open to visitors in Turkey from November  9th to December  9th,  2018.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition which will take place for the first time in Turkey will take place on November 9th, 2018 at 03:00 p.m. and will be open to the public.
