The Uygur Uygur State Academic Music and Theater Ensemble enchanted its audience in Ankara
Within the framework of its tour to Turkey held on the occasion of the 25th Anniversary of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, the Uygur State Academic Music and Theater Ensemble of the Minsitry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan named after Kuddus Kujamyarov gave a wonderful concert in Ankara.
The concert which attracted a large audience took place in the Akün State Theater in Ankara on November 1st, 2018 and gathered TURKSOY Secretary General , Ambassador Dusen Kasseinov along with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ankara H. E. Isankuli Amanliyev, the Mayor of the Municipality of Keçiören Mustafa Ak, the Rector of the Gazi University Ibrahim Uslan and representatives of the embassies of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kosovo in Ankara as well as members of the Uygur Turkic diaspora in Akara and many amateurs of art.
While the event was attended by a large audience and some spectators had to remain standing due to the fact that there were not enough places, the program of the concert featured a colourful combination of Dede Korkut's tales, melodies of the Turkic World with different maqams as well as typical Uygur songs and dances along with a musical show featuring "Mysterious Mugams".
The event left undelible traces in the memories of the audience who was enchanted by colourful the performances of the artists. At the end of the concert, the audience gave standing ovations to the Uygur State Academic Music and Theater Ensemble and posed for photos together with the artists.
The event ended with a group photograph of the Uygur State Academic Music and Theater Ensemble taken as a remembrance of the day together with protocol members.
