Presentation on TURKSOY at the Seminar of Turkic Speaking Entrepreneurs

A presentation on activities carried out by  TURKSOY took place at the 20th Seminar  of Turkic Speaking Entrepreneurs held  in order to strengthen comercial ties among Turkic speaking entrepreneurs of the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Caucasia, the Middle East, Central Asia, Germany and Russia within the framework of the joint initiative launched by  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Chamber of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOOB) in 2005.

The 20th Seminar of Turkic Speaking Entrepreneurs to take place between September 30th-October 11th, 2018 will feature meetings which will take place with the contribution of approximately 50 entrepreneurs from   21 countries  in  Ankara, Edirne, Tekirdağ  and Istanbul. In the speech he delivered at the 20th Seminar of Turkic Speaking Entrepreneurs held in Ankara, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Prof. Dr. Fırat Purtaş  gave some information on activities and projects carried out by  TURKSOY which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Prof. Dr. Purtaş who further said that with cultural and artistic activities it carries out, TURKSOY strongly contributes to the promotion of our rich cultural heritage as well as to cultural integration, thus consolidating mutual confidence among Turkic peoples. Prof. Dr. Purtaş  concluded his speech stressing that this mutual confidence also enhances cooperation in various fields including trade and economy.

The aim of the Seminar of Turkic Speaking Entrepreneurs which  gathered 750 entrepreneurs from 24 different countries and 7 autonomous regions up to now  is to  strengthen entrepreneurs' capacity in terms of trade and commercial activities they carry out in their respective countries while also creating further opportunities for them to cooperate with  Turkey.

Within the framework of this initiative, various seminars and conferences will be organized in cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, the Ministry of Trade of   the Republic of Turkey, the Directorate of Turkic and Kindred Communities Abroad and the TOBB-ETU University with TURKSOY, the Yunus Emre Institute and the Turkic Council.
