Wonderful performance of Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" by artists of the Turkic World
TURKSOY held yet another international event contributing to Turkic World music and art with a concert featuring Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" performed by artists of the Turkic World.
The concert was organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Symphony Orchestra of the Bilkent University, the “State Academic Philharmony Choir of Astana” and the “State Polyphonic Choir of Almaty” with the contribution og Opera Stars of the Turkic World.
The performance of artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and Bashkortostan (RF) who took the scene in the Odeon Concert Hall of the Bilkent University on June 23rd, 2018 literally enchanted the audience.
The event which brought a new impetus to classical music concerts in Ankara featured Maestro Christoph Poppen as conductor and the soprano Alfiya Karimova from Bashkortostan (RF), the tenor Ilham Nazarov from Azerbaijan and the barytone Arda Aktar from Turkey as soloists together with artists of the “State Academic Philharmony Choir of Astana” and the “State Polyphonic Choir of Almaty” from Kazakhstan.
The colourful event held in the Odeon Concert Hall in Ankara ended with standing ovations of the audience.
