Opera Stars of the Turkic World in Adana

The series of concerts featuring Opera Stars of the Turkic World on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of TURKSOY came to an end in Adana.

Following the concerts held in Gaziantep and Kahramanmaras with the contribution of artists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, opera stars of the Turkic World took the scene in the Theater Hall of the Metropolitan Municipality of  Adana on May 9th, 2018. The concert which raised great enthusiasm among the audience featured performances of  Eleonora Mustafayeva from Azerbaijan,  Talgat Mussabayev from Kazkahstan,  Elnura Samarbekova from Kyrgyzstan and Ünüşan Kuloğlu from Turkey who were accompanied by 70 musicians of  the State Symphony Orchestra under Maestro  Petr Gribanov.

The concert took place in the presence of  TURKSOY Secretary General  Dusen Kasseinov and the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality of  Adana Hüseyin Sözlü along with local officials and representatives of various public institutions and organizations. The concert which lasted approximately one hour  featured performances of works by composers of  Western classical music as well as of classical music of the Turkic World  including E. Rahmediyev, F. Amirov, S. Yudakov and T. Kajgaliyev. The audience which strongly appreciated the concert gave standing ovations to the artists.

At the end of the concert, TURKSOY Secretary General Dusen Kasseinov handed over the medal dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the independence of Turkic republics to the Mayor of  Adana  Mr. Hüseyin Sözlü. The Director of Cultural Affairs of Karagandy Rimbala Omerbekova also extended souvenirs to the Mayor Sözlü.

The Karagandy Symphony Orchestra enjoys an international reputation and is well-known in many countries worldwide. Since its establishment, it has taken the scene in Turkey as well as in many countries of Europe and Asia. This year, the tour of the orchestra in Turkey featured concerts in Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş and Adana.
