TURKSOY Secretary General met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain
The Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture TURKSOY, Prof. Dusen Kasseinov met with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain H. E. Bakyt Dyussenbayev.
Within the framework of his visit to Madrid on the occasion of the tour of the Anatolian Symphony Orchestra of TURKSOY to Spain, Prof. Kasseinov paid a visit to the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain in Madrid. In his meeting with the Ambassador H. E. Bakyt Dyussenbayev, Prof. Kasseinov gave some information on activities carried out by TURKSOY as well as on concerts given by the Anatolian Symphony Orchestra of TURKSOY in various cities of Spain.
Prof. Kasseinov said that the tour of the Anatolian Symphony Orchestra of TURKSOY to Spain is not a coincidence as it is the first step taken towards the development of cultural ties between the Turkic World and Spain.
Prof. Kasseinov who also reminded of the Project on the Alliance of Civilizations launched under the auspices of the UN upon joint initiative of the former Prime Minister of Spain José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, stressed that, with this project, ties among different civilizations have taken on a wholy new dimesion. Prof. Kasseinov further said that this tour of the Anatolian Symphony Orchestra of TURKSOY introducing the music of the Turkic World to audiences in Spain is meant to be a cultural contribution to the Alliance of Civilizations.
Prof. Kasseinov who also exchanged views with Ambassador Dyussenbayev on future tours to Spain stressed that TURKSOY attaches particular importance to activities promoting the Turkic World and its culture in Europe and that these activities will be further carried out in the future.
Within the framework of his meetings in Madrid, Prof. Kasseinov also came together with the Undersecretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Spain Mr. Çağdaş Bilgin and the Representative of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Spain Mr. Namık Ramazanov. Issues discussed in these meetings included activities to be carried out in the future by TURKSOY in Spain.
