Visit of the youngest minstrel of Türkiye to TURKSOY

Mr. Mümtaz Sağlam, who was selected as the Youngest Minstrel of Türkiye at the 59th Minstrels’ Festival of Konya (2025) visited TURKSOY. Accompanied by Mr. Yusuf Delikoca, the Director of Culture, Arts and Social Affairs at the Sarıçam Municipality of Adana, Mümtaz Sağlam met with  Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf in TURKSOY Headquarters.

Expressing his pleasure to welcome a master of music and verse holding such a prestigious title as Türkiye’s Youngest Minstrel in TURKSOY Headquarters, Deputy Secretary General Yusuf emphasised the importance of younger generations embracing and keeping alive the ‘Tradition of Folk Poetry’, which has survived for millennia and remains a shared cultural heritage of the Turkic World.

Noting that one of the main objectives of TURKSOY is to pass on the rich cultural heritage inherited from our ancestors to future generations, Deputy Secretary General Yusuf wished the young artist every success.

Within the framework of his visit to TURKSOY, the youngest minstrel of Türkiye, Mr. Mümtaz Sağlam, performed examples of his own works.
