Visit of the Tughra Calligrapher Mr. Ismet Keten to TURKSOY

The Tughra calligrapher Mr. Ismet Keten who was awarded  the photography and animation prize of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye in 1986 paid a visit to the Deputy Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Sayit Yusuf.
 

During the meeting, Mr. Keten and Mr. Yusuf discussed the  evolution of   Tughra calligraphy, its place and importance in  Turkish history and  touched upon the organisation of an exhibition of the artist's works  under the leadership of  TURKSOY.
 

The exhibition consisting of tughra works by Mr. Keten is planned to be held in April 2025.
In his works, Mr. Keten  applies acrylic and gold paint on silk,  which is a technique he developed himself.
