Visit of Secretary General Raev to the Representation Office of the Organisation of Turkic States in Budapest

Within the framework of his visit to Budapest, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev met with the newly appointed Executive Director Balázs Hendrich at the Representation Office of the Organisation of Turkic States at Ybl Villa in Budapest on August 19th, 2025.

Secretary General Raev who congratulated Mr. Balázs Hendrich for his appointment as Executive Director expressed his best wishes of success to Mr. Balázs Hendrich for his new term in office. Mr. Raev who also   stressed his appreciation as to cultural cooperation projects carried out by the Representation Office of the OTS in Hungary until now, stated that these efforts have made a significant contribution to the promotion of the the culture of the Turkic World in Europe.

At the meeting, both parties also reviewed past and ongoing activities of the the Representation Office of the OTS in Hungary and exchanged views on new projects aimed at the strengthening and diversification of the cultural and institutional cooperation among  countries  of the Turkic World, Hungary, and European institutions.

In his assessment of the meeting, Secretary General Raev stated:

“Our Representative Office in Budapest serves as a strategic centre strengthening the deep-rooted cultural ties between the Turkic World and Europe. I am confident that projects implemented with the support of this office will go on with an even greater momentum in the coming period.”
