Uzbek-Turkish Brotherhood celebrated with enthusiasm in Erdemli

On April 15th, 2025, an Uzbek-Turkish Brotherhood Concert was held with great enthusiasm within the framework of Fergana Cultural Days of Uzbekistan in Erdemli. The opening speeches of the concert were delivered by the Mayor of Erdemli Mr. Mustafa Kara, the Rector of the Fergana State University Bahadır Shermuhammedov and the Special Representative of TURKSOY Secretary General Melik Özsöz.

Mr. Melik Özsöz started his speech by conveying the greetings of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and thanked the Municipality of Erdemli, the Directorate of Culture and Tourism, the Advanced Technical School for Girls and the  District Governorate of Erdemli for their hosting and support. Mr. Özsöz stressed that TURKSOY will pursue its mission to promote the common culture of the Turkic World and expressed his pleasure as to the organization of this event in Erdemli.

The event featured performances of Mr. Atabek Muhammedzahid, the pride and state artist of Uzbekistan, who holds many national and international awards as well as of artists of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan and the “Özbegim” Dance Ensemble. Works performed in Uzbek and Turkish were highly appreciated by the audience.
