TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev met with Mr. Shuhret Rızayev, the Director of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan

Issues discussed in the meeting which gathered  Secretary General Sultan Raev and the Director of the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan Mr. Shuhret Rızayev pertained to existing projects of cooperation between the two institutions. Both parties also exchanged views as to ongoing works on joint activities. 

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev expressed his gratitude to the Cinematography Agency of Uzbekistan for its institutional support to TURKSOY and stressed the importance of concrete steps to strengthen cultural cooperation in the field of cinema within the Turkic World. 

Secretary General Raev who also highlighted opportunities offered by both, the Tashkent Film Festival and the Korkut Ata Turkic World Film Festival further stressed the fact  that increasing the number of joint productions among TURKSOY member countries will bring about significant progress in the field of cinema. 

At the meeting, both parties evaluated the work to be carried out specifically for the Korkut Ata Film Festival of the Turkic World, planned to be held in Aktau, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World, in October, and the Tashkent Film Festival. The meeting also featured an exchange of ideas on the Project regarding  ‘Film Days of the Turkic World’ which will start with the "Film Days of Uzbekistan" in 2026. 

In this context, consensus was reached on deepening cultural relations between TURKSOY and Uzbekistan with  constructive steps to be taken in the field of cinema.
