Title of Honorary Professor awarded to Secretary General Sultan Raev
In recognition of his contributions to cultural unity and solidarity within the Turkic World, Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), has been awarded a title of honorary professor by the Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilyov.
In the ceremony held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, international projects implemented by TURKSOY under Secretary General Raev’s leadership, the strong partnerships established in the fields of culture and arts, and the contributions made to the strengthening of the shared historical and cultural consciousness among Turkic peoples were highlighted. University officials stated that Raev’s visionary leadership had made a significant contribution to the cultural integration of the Turkic World.
Participants who took the floor at the ceremony noted that activities carried out by TURKSOY in recent years have not only increased cultural interaction but also built lasting bridges between academic circles and cultural institutions. It was further noted that the title of honorary professor awarded to Secretary General Raev in this context will further strengthen cooperation between the scientific community and cultural diplomacy.
In the speech he delivered, Secretary General Sultan Raev, who accepted the title of honorary professor, expressed his gratitude to the university administration, noting that this meaningful recognition is not only meant for him personally but also reflected a gesture of goodwill towards TURKSOY and the Turkic World.
Secretary General Raev stressed that preserving the shared values of the Turkic World and passing them on to future generations is one of the most important responsibilities, and stated that TURKSOY will further work with the same determination to strengthen cooperation between academic spheres and cultural institutions.
