Title of "Hero of Turkmenistan" awarded to the famous Turkmen sculptor Saragt Babaýew

The famous Turkmen sculptor Saragt Babaýew was awarded the title of "Hero of Turkmenistan" upon decision of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhammedov.

Pursuant to this decision Mr. Saragt Babaýew who is a member of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan and an independent artist, was honoured with the title of ‘Hero of Turkmenistan’, the highest state award of the country, along with the Golden Order ‘Altyn Aý’ for his significant contribution to the art of sculpture  of Turkmenistan and his meticulous and creative work over many years.

The artist Saragt Babaýew is known  for having sculpted the  the giant statue of Magtumguly Fragi which was unveiled  in a ceremony attended  by many world leaders.
In the message he conveyed to the sculptor Saragt Babaýew who is also the designer of the awards presented by TURKSOY on various occasions, Secretary General  Raev congratulated the artist for the title of ‘Gahryman of Turkmenistan’ he has been awarded and expressed his most sincere gratitude for his contribution to the culture and civilisation of the Turkic World..
