The Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan awarded the Order of “Defender of the Fatherland” to TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev

Secretary General Sultan Raev was awarded the Order of “Defender of the Fatherland” by the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan.

A festive ceremony was held in the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan on the occasion of the “Day of Workers of Culture and Art” celebrated in Uzbekistan. People of culture and art gathered at the Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theater named after Berdak and celebrated the holiday with great enthusiasm.

The event was hosted by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan Amanbay Orinbayev and attended by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev as well as the world famous French conductor Natalie Marin and other guests.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Supreme Council Mr. Amanbay Orinbayev congratulated the participants on this special day and emphasized that  under the leadership of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, special attention has been paid to the development of the sphere of culture and art in the country, the creation of favorable working conditions for workers in this field and the proper recognition of their work in recent years and added that a wide range of activities have been carried out in this respect.

Mr. Orinbayev's speech was followed by a ceremony in which  awards of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan were handed over to artists and intellectuals in recognition of their precious  contribution  to the worldwide promotion of the country's culture.

At the ceremony President  Orinbayev also presented an award  to  Secretary General Sultan Raev as a sign of gratitude of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan  for his devotion to introduce the culture and art of Karakalpakstan to the world.
