The ‘Önerli Ören’ International Children's Art Festival is starting in Aktau

From  August 14th to August 18th, 2025, Aktau, the city of Kazakhstan declared as Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2025, will be hosting the ‘Önerli Ören’ International Children's Art Festival, a colourful artistic event, which will bring together 500 children from different regions of the Turkic World.

Organised in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Municipality of Aktau, the festival will feature young artists showcasing their talents in folk dances, traditional and modern vocal performances, and folk instruments.

Highlighted Events of the Festival will be:

-The Award ceremony of the international painting competition on traditional children's games

-Workshops with young artists from different countries

-Opportunities for cross-cultural interaction

This five-day art festival will provide a platform for young talents to express themselves while building bridges between cultures. The event will reflect the artistic heritage of the Turkic World and offer unforgettable experiences to participants.

The Unifying Power of Art

The aim of the festival is to pass on the common cultural heritage of the Turkic World to future generations and bring young talents together on an international platform. Hosted by Aktau, the Festival is also of great importance in terms of cultural diplomacy.
