The Gathering of Women Painters of the Turkic World ended with the opening of an exhibition and a gala event in Marmaris

The Gathering of Women Painters of the Turkic World, organised by TURKSOY and the Station Foundation between  May 5th-11th, 2025 ended with the opening of an exhibition and a gala event in Marmaris, Muğla. Women painters from different parts of the Turkic World shared their works with art lovers during a week-long event in Marmaris.

Speaking at the event, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev emphasised that works by female painters from the Turkic World do not only have an aesthetic value but also convey sincerity and cultural depth that comes from the heart. Mr. Raev further stated:

"In every painting displayed in this exhibition, we see the heart, emotions, wisdom, and elegance of our artists. These works created by our female painters with love which  is the driving force of human life reflect our brotherhood, our common culture, and the emotions we share. We view this gathering not merely as an artistic event but as a bridge of hearts that brings the spirit of the Turkic World to Marmaris.

I would like to thank Mr. Ali Kılıç and the entire team for their efforts. As long as this wind of friendship blows here, TURKSOY is determined to further hold such gatherings."

In his speech, Mr. Ali Kılıç, the President of the Station Foundation, emphasised the immortality of art and the unifying power of love , saying:

"This is the essence of art; we all live for as long as it takes to take a breath, but after our time has come, that is, when we pass away, only our works remain behind us.

With these feelings, I would like to thank our esteemed Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Sultan Raev as he extended a hand of friendship and brotherhood to us and said, ‘Let our first project be one which brings together women painters.’ It was truly a very appropriate decision. I watched with admiration; you are very professional, very strong, and full of love.

Where there is love, there is life; where there is love, it is possible to live as brothers and sisters under this sky. You have made a great contribution to this brotherhood."

At the end of the event, participating  artists were handed over certificates of appreciation by Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of TURKSOY. Mr.  Ali Kılıç, the President of the Station Foundation, was honoured with a plaquette for his contributions to the event. The exhibition featuring works by female painters of the Turkic World raised great interes among art enthusiasts from Marmaris.
