The city of Arkadag was declared "City of the 21st Century"

Arkadag, the first smart city of Turkmenistan, was inaugurated with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on  June 29th, 2023. The ceremony was attended by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev along with many guests from all over the world.

Within the scope of the inauguration ceremony, President Berdimuhamedov and members of the participating delegation first visited the Akhan Statue built at the entrance of the city and inaugurated it. Then a special ceremony was held at the Spirituality Pavilion.

During the ceremony, 21 certificates awarded to the city of Arkadag by international organisations and companies were handed over to their winners. Among the certificates presented in the ceremony was the certificate of the "City of the 21st Century" awarded to the city of Arkadag by TURKSOY. The afore-mentioned certificate was handed over  to Orazov Deryageldi Nuriyevich by  TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.
