The book published by TURKSOY entitled “My Auezov” was presented in Kyrgyzstan

Zeynolla Kabdolov’s book entitled “My Auezov” and published by TURKSOY was presented in the State Museum of History  in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

The Turkish version of the book entitled “My Auezov” which recounts the life of  the famous Kazak author  Muhtar Auezov and has been translated into 97 languages has been published for the first time by TURKSOY.

The presentation event which took place in Bishkek gathered a large audience including  the Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Sultan Raev, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth of the Kyrgyz Republic  Cengiz Esenkulov, the Director of the C. Aytmatov Institute of the State Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan Abdıldacan Akmataliyev, the Advisor to the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bishkek Nurlan Abay Uulu, the Director of the State Museum of History of Kyrgyzstan Cıldız Bakaşova, and the President of the People's Assemby of Kyrgyzstan  Abdıganı Erkebayev.

In the speech he delivered at the event which raised great interest among the audience composed of authors, artists and intellectuals of Kyrgysztan TURKSOY Secretary General Raev said that  Muhtar Auezov is a key figure for both the Kazak and Kyrgyz people and that he is strongly appreciated in the entire Turkic World for all works he wrote which is why TURKSOY also carried out many activities to preserve his legacy and pay tribute to his memoory. 

The opening speeches were followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony. 

The event ended with the handing over of the "Auezov Medal" especially issued by TURKSOY and dedicated to the 125th anniversary of his birthday . The medal was handed over to authors, intellectuals and artists of Kyrgyzstan by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev in recognition of their valuable contribution to the culture, art and literature of Kyrgyzstan.

Secretary General Raev also handed over the Gold Medal of TURKSOY which is its highest-level award to Mr. Abdıldacan Akmataliyev, the Director of the C. Aytmatov Institute of the State Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan and to Mr. Abdıganı Erkebayev President of the People's Assembly of Kyrgyzstan.
