The 25th International Festival of Anatolian Culture and Art has begun

The International Festival of Anatolian Culture and Art, traditionally organised in cooperation  of the Municipality of  Etimesgut with TURKSOY started with great enthusiasm.

Organised for the 25th time this year, the Festival started with a parade accompanied by protocol members, representatives carrying the flags and pennants of Turkic Republics and communities, as well as heads of foundations and communities, art ensembles and many citizens.

The parade  which raised great interest among citizens of Etimesgut was followed by a concert and opening ceremony held at the Turkish Beys City Square.

Prior to the concert, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and the Mayor of Etimesgut Mr. Enver Demirel visited the stands opened at the square and entered the “House of TURKSOY” where they closely watched the exhibition of photographs resulting  from the Photographers' Gathering of TURKSOY held in Uzbekistan.

The opening speech of the concert which featured performances of the Turkic World Music and Folk Dance Ensemble along with the folk music singer Zara under Maestro Cem Gürdal was delivered by  TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.

Stating that the mission of  TURKSOY is to revive ties of brotherhood, strengthen unity and solidarity among the peoples of the Turkic World, develop there mutual cultural ties and preserve our common culture while promoting it worldwide and keeping  our national culture at its highest level, Mr. Raev expressed his pleasure as to the participation of TURKSOY in this colourful event given the fact that  the Municipality of Etimesgut which traditionally holds the International Festival of Anatolian Culture and Art every year shares  the same mission and principles as TURKSOY.

Secretary General Raev further said: "This year, this large-scale event will feature performances of the Ankara Turkic World Music and Folk Dance Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of our host country, the Republic of Turkiye which will reach out to you with melodies inspired from the national music of peoples living in the Turkic World. Besides, we hope that you will appreciate our exhibition introducing Uzbekistan to you through the lens of photographers of the Turkic World who came together in our Photographers’ Gathering which is traditionally held every year and took place in Uzbekistan this time."

Following his speech, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev handed over a medal dedicated to the  30th anniversary of TURKSOY to Mr. Enver Demirel, the Mayor of Etimesgut.
