Serikbol Kondıbay's "Arğıkazak Mythology" introduced to the Turkic World

“Arğıkazak Mythology”, the masterpiece by Serikbol Kondıbay, a talented author from Kazakhstan has been translated into Turkish with the support of TURKSOY and is now available to readers.

Following the book's initial presentation at the Presidential National Library, the second presentation event took place on the evening of Thursday, October 16, at the Chess Museum of the Gökyay Foundation in Ankara. The event began with a piano recital by the renowned pianist Ahad Asker.

The opening speeches were delivered by Mr. Akın Gökyay, the founder of the Gökyay Chess Museum; Mrs. Mehbare Şahin, representing TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and Balsulu Kondıbay the museum expert and sister of the book's author, Serikbol Kondıbay.

The opening speeches were followed by a panel discussion which gathered Prof. Dr. Bülent Bayram from the Turkic Academy, Prof. Dr. Balkenje Akberdiyeva  from the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Yıldırım  from the Hacı Bayram Veli University and Mr. Ali Tokmak from the Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts.

Being out of office on duty abroad, Prof. Dr. Bülent Bayram who strongly  contributed to the Turkish translation of the book, joined the panel via video recording.

Following the question-and-answer session of the panel which took place in a warm atmosphere, the event went on with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and ende with the handover of plaquettes  prior to the opening of an exhibition and a cocktail reception.

Promotional events introducing the book “Arghikazak Mythology” are also planned to be held in Izmir and Istanbul.
