Secretary General Sultan Raev attended a performance of the play “Nevbahar” at the Turkish Theater in Skopje

During his official visit to North Macedonia, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev paid a visit to the Turkish Theater of the National Institution of North Macedonia. 

On this occasion, the Turkish Theater held a special performance for Secretary General Sultan Raev featuring the play titled “Nevbahar.” Secretary General Raev watched the play alongside the Director of the Turkish Theater Mr. Osman Ali.

The play written by Murat Can Kibiroğlu and directed by Ali Volkan Çetinkaya is about hope, resurrection, and rebirth. Produced to mark the 75th anniversary of the Turkish Theater of the National Institution of North Macedonia, the play was highly appreciated by Secretary General Raev for its powerful performances and stage language.

After the performance, Secretary General Raev congratulated the theater’s management and artists, noting that the Turkish Theater of the National Institution ofNorth Macedonia  is one of the most established representatives of the Turkish language, Turkish culture, and the art of theater in the Balkans. Secretary General Raev emphasized the importance to foster the visibility of the theater on common cultural and artistic platforms of the Turkic World.

During the meeting, it was agreed that the Turkish Theater of the National Institution of North Macedonia shall participate in the 4th International Theater Festival of TURKSOY to be held in Andijan, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2026. 

The parties also expressed their commitment to the development of cultural and artistic cooperation through joint projects and performances.
