Secretary General  Raev met with the Minister of Culture of  Turkmenistan Atageldi Shamuradov

TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev went on an official visit to Turkmenistan between March 21st-23rd, 2023

The first meeting within the scope of the visit, which included various contacts in Ashgabat, was held with the Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldi Shamuradov.

During the meeting where views were exchanged on the celebrations planned within the scope of the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY as well as regarding Anev,  the  -Cultural  Capital of the Turkic World 2024 and   the Year of Magtumguly Pyragy 2024, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev made a detailed presentation on the planned routes and dates of the 30th anniversary celebrations of TURKSOY.

Minister Shamuradov, in turn, shared the celebration programme  prepared by the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan for the 300th anniversary of the birthday of Magtumguly Pyragy.

After the meeting, Minister Shamuradov stated that Turkmenistan is ready to host the 30th anniversary celebrations of TURKSOY and said: “In addition to the 30th anniversary celebrations, we will organize a series of events within the framework of Anev, the Cultural apital of the Turkic World 2024 and the 300th anniversary of the birthday of  Magtumguly Pyragy. Thanks to these events, we will have the opportunity to introduce the richness of our national culture to the whole world. In this respect, we attach great importance to our cooperation with TURKSOY. I would like to thank Secretary General Sultan Raev for the comprehensive programme they have prepared.”
