Secretary General Raev met with Ambassador Gökhan Turan, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye in charge of organizations of Central Asia and the Turkic World.

On November 28th, 2024, Secretary General Raev met with Ambassador Gökhan Turan, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye in charge of organizations  of Central Asia and the Turkic World. Issues discussed in the meeting, pertained to the strengthening  of cooperation activities carried out under the auspices  of the Turkic World.

In the meeting, Secretary General Raev congratulated Ambassador Gökhan Turan on the occasion of his appointment as Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye in charge of organizations  of Central Asia and the Turkic World and wished him success in his new function. 

While both parties  exchanged Information on relations between TURKSOY and its founding member countries as well as between  TURKSOY and its  member countries with an observer status, they also touched upon processes of cooperation of the Organisation with international institutions.

At the end of the meeting, both, Ambassador Gökhan Turan and Secretary General Raev stressed  the importance of mutual visits for the development of joint projects and further deepening of ties with the Turkic World. In this respect, it was further stated that TURKSOY will continue to  foster cooperation and solidarity in line  with its mission to promote Turkic culture and art worldwide.

The meeting which took place in the presence of Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf ended with a group photograph taken as a remembrance of the day.
