Secretary General Raev came together with artists and intellectuals in Bukhara

Within the framework of his visit to Uzbekistan, Secretary General Raev, visited the Regional Branch of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan in Bukhara.

During the visit, Secretary General Raev met with cultural and artistic figures from Bukhara and exchanged ideas with them on topics such as Bukhara's place in Turkic-Islamic civilization, activities of artistic institutions, and guidance for the younger generation toward cultural values. 

At the end of the meeting, Secretary General Raev handed over the Medal of TURKSOY to Mr. Rauf Avezov, the Director of the Bukhara Philharmonic, for his dedicated work in the cultural and artistic community for over 33 years and his contribution to the promotion of the culture and arts of the Turkic World.

Secretary General Raev wished Rauf Avezov further success in his work, stating that: “Efforts of valuable artists who shape the artistic environment of Bukhara are the strongest guarantee of cultural unity in the Turkic World.”

Mr. Rauf Avezov who expressed his gratitude to TURKSOY for this kind recognition, noted that this award is a great honor both for himself and for the Bukhara art community.
