Second Youth Gathering of the Turkic World to be held in October in Kyrgyzstan

On  August 10th,  2025, Mr. Sayit Yusuf, the Deputy Secretary General of the International Organisation for Turkic Culture TURKSOY, met with Mr. Alaybek Shamshiev, the Deputy Rector of the Kyrgyz National University in charge of Academic Affairs. Issues discussed in the meeting pertained to  the strengthening of cooperation between TURKSOY and the Kyrgyz National University in the fields of culture, education and academic activities.

Both parties decided that the 2nd Youth Gathering of the Turkic World organized by TURKSOY shall be held in Kyrgyzstan on  October 23rd-24th-25th, 2025. The gathering to take place under the motto ‘The Future is Yours!’ aims at bringing together young representatives of the Turkic World to strengthen cultural ties and develop joint projects.

Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf who highlighted the success of the first edition of this gathering which was  held last year at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty announced that representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, as well as Hungary, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Moldova are also expected to participate in this year's event. At the meeting, it was also emphasised that this gathering will serve as an important platform for young people of Turkic origin to meet, establish communication, and generate solutions to common issues in their respective countries as they will become the future leaders of the Turkic World.

The First Deputy Rector  of the  Kyrgyz National University, Alaybek Shamshie,  presented an official letter to Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf stating that the university is ready to co-organise this event with TURKSOY. Also attending the meeting were Myrzabek Kamchyıbek Uulu, Deputy Rector for Scientific Affairs; Kubanychbek Jumabekov, Chairman of the United Trade Unions Committee; and Saadat Shermatova, Head of the Department in charge of Academic Mobility, Education Exchange, and Sectoral Master's Programmes.

On the other hand, it was stated that Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov is expected to participate in the 2nd Youth Gathering of the Turkic World and that the event will strengthen feelings of brotherhood and unity among young people of the Turkic World.
