Prestigious Award for TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev from Uzbekistan and joyful celebration the Headquarters of the organisation

Upon decision of the President of Uzbekistan Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Mr. Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and People's Author of the Kyrgyz Republic, was awarded the ‘Kelajak Merosi’ (Future Heritage) International Award which is one of the country's most prestigious cultural awards.

This prestigious award was bequeathed in the field of ‘Literature’ to Secretary General Raev for his powerful works and outstanding contributions to Kyrgyz and Turkic World literature. Raev's works combine traditional Kyrgyz storytelling with modern dramaturgy while shedding light upon common spiritual and social issues of Turkic peoples.

Secretary General Raev's achievement was greeted with great enthusiasm at the Headquarters of TURKSOY where staff members congratulated him in his office with great joy and a standing ovation.

Speaking briefly on behalf of the staff of the Organisation, Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf stated that this award once again demonstrated TURKSOY's influence on the cultural life of the Turkic World and expressed their pride in Raev's success in representing the organisation and all Turkic peoples at highest level.
