Presentation of the book on "The Manas Epic and Turkic Epic Tradition"

The book on "The Manas Epic and Turkic Epic Tradition" was presented in cooperation with the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan.

With an event held in the premises of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation (UTKMV) operating in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, the book on "The Manas Epic and Turkic Epic Tradition" by the famous Azerbaijani Manas researcher, poet, translator and scholar Adil Jamil was introduced and presented to art lovers.

The event hosted by Mrs. Günay Efendiyeva was attended by the Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Taalatbek Masadykov, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan Kayrat Osmonaliev, the MP of the Parliament of Azerbaijan Nizami Jafferov, the prominent writer of the Turkic World Elchin Efendiyev, the Representative of Kyrgyzstan to TURKSOY  Kanat Mambetaliev, cultural and artistic figures of the Turkic World and art lovers.

Speaking at the presentation, the orators noted that this work on the Manas Epic, which is a precious component  of the cultural heritage of not only the Kyrgyz people, but also the Turkic World and the whole mankind, is a new step towards the perception of the inexhaustible universe of  Epic tradition.

Mr.  Mambetaliev who made a presentation at the event, conveyed the greetings and congratulations of  Secretary General Sultan Raev and expressed special gratitude to the author Adil Cemil for reflecting in his work the unique nature of the storytellers, who have pursued this tradition for centuries and have enabled us to listen to the Manas Epic today.

Mr.  Mambetaliev further said that this is reflected in the phrase of the world-famous Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov about the Manas tellers: "Blessed be the Manas teller who passed the Manas Epic from one generation to the next."
