Presentation of five books dedicated to Moldo Niyaz, the founder of written Kyrgyz literature
Five different books on the life and works of the founder of Kyrgyz written literature, intellectual, scholar and poet Moldo Niyaz were presented in the city of Kadamchay in Kyrgyzstan.
The presentation event, which was held in the Central Stadium of Kadamchay and gathered approximately four thousand people took place in the presence of the Representative of the Kyrgyz President of the Batken Region Mr. Abdikarim Alimbaev, the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) Mr. Sultan Raev, the Advisor to the President Nishanbek Kochkorov, the famous historian Kiyas Moldokasimov, the District Governor Kutpidin Shakirov and all those who contributed to the preparation of the books as well as members of the "Moldo Niyaz Heritage" Foundation.
Participants who took the floor at the event gave detailed information about the life, art and poetry of Moldo Niyaz.
TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev said: “Moldo Niyaz is an immortal star not only of Kyrgyz literature but also of Turkic literature, a well-known person who fought for the freedom of the Kyrgyz people and the Turkic peoples of Central Asia”.
Secretary General Raev further stressed the fact that Moldo Niyaz's works were previously translated into Turkish by TURKSOY and added that within the scope of activities carried out by TURKSOY, various international events on Moldo Niyaz and his work will be held in Turkey, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Moldo Niyaz's book "Sanat Digarasttar", translated from Kyrgyz Turkish into Turkish by the Kyrgyz Turkologist Dr Gulzada Nurmamatova, was published in Ankara with the support of TURKSOY.
