Presentation of a book of short stories on “Aldar-Kose” in TURKSOY Headquarters
The book "Köse in the Turkic Homelands (Aldar)" published by TURKSOY and containing the stories of the character "Aldar-Köse", who has an important place in the literature of Turkic peoples, was presented.
Prof. Dr. Ismet Çetin, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Contemporary Turkish Dialects and Literatures, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çeribaş, Researcher, Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University Doctoral Programme Student Nadira Turdubaı Kyzy made speeches.
In his opening speech, Sayit Yusuf touched upon the common cultural accumulation, which is one of the most important indicators of the brotherhood of the Turkic peoples. Sayit Yusuf noted that the brotherhood between our peoples will be further strengthened by understanding our values and said: "The common stories and heroes that we keep alive such as Hodja Nasrettin, Köroğlu, Aldar Köse are an important heritage that exists in different parts of the Turkic geography, albeit with different names, uniting us and showing that we have a common culture. By compiling these common values and transferring them to future generations, we will walk to a stronger, more beautiful and more prosperous future by showing what a strong civilisation and common cultural heritage we have." Yusuf expressed his gratitude to those who contributed to the publication of the book.
After the ribbon cutting ceremony, scholars who spoke at the meeting and gave information about the book emphasised the formation process of the book "Aldar (Aldar) Köse in the Turkic Homeland", the place of Aldar Köse character among our peoples, the way of perception, name alternatives and the subjects in the stories, and emphasised that this important character of the common heritage of the Turkic World literature and folk folk folklore should be examined more deeply through scientific research.
At the end of the meeting, TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf presented to Prof. Dr. Zeki Kaymaz, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Şahin, Prof. Dr. İsmet Çetin, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Çeribaş the medal and certificates of participation prepared by TURKSOY dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of Ahmet Baytursinuly, the founder of Kazakh modern linguistics.
