Preparations for the shooting of the film “Nasreddin Hoja” in Türkiye
Vagif Mustafayev, the director of the film "Nasreddin Hodja" to be shot in line with the decision of the 40th Meeting of the Permanent Council of TURKSOY visited the Headquarters of the Organization.
Director Vagif Mustafayev and his accompanying delegation, who conducted preliminary research in Türkiye within the framework of the Nasreddin Hodja Joint Film Project to be realised with the contributions of the Ministries of Culture of TURKSOY Member States, visited TURKSOY and met with Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf.
During the meeting, the work carried out within the framework of the film project was discussed. Vagif Mustafayev said that the filming team had made inspections in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan to determine the locations where the film would be shot and discussed the details of the planning of the filming with the authorities in these countries.
Mr. Mustafayev who said that meetings were also held with the officials of the Ministry of Culture and the General Directorate of Cinema in Türkiye and that the locations for the shooting of the film in Akşehir and Eskişehir will be determined thanked TURKSOY for undertaking and leading the production of the film "Nasrettin Hodja" which will become a co-production of the cinema sector of the Turkic World.
Both parties also noted that the preliminary research phase is planned to be completed by May and that the shooting of the film will start in the second half of 2024 along with inspections in Turkmenistan after Türkiye.
Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf who stressed the importance of this project, which will be realised with the participation of famous actors and actresses of the Turkic world to preserve the common cultural heritage of Turkic peoples together and introduce it to the world through an international film further wished success to the team who will be shooting itunder the leadership of its Director Vagif Mustafayev.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the building of TURKSOY and was informed about activities carried out by the Organization.
