‘Mount Sulaiman: Four Seasons’ photography exhibition inaugurated in Osh

The Photographers' Gathering  of TURKSOY held under the motto ‘Mount Sulaiman: Four Seasons’ was held in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policies of the Kyrgyz Republic, the City Council of Osh, the Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after T. Sadikov, the State University of Osh, the International Kyrgyz-Uzbek University and the National Museum Complex of History and Archaeology has come to an end.

Following three days of work, photographs resulting from the gathering were  exhibited at the Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after T. Sadikov. The exhibition was inaugurated by Askarali Madaminov, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policies of Kyrgyzstan, and Mr. Mar Topoyev, the Representative of Kyrgyzstan to TURKSOY. 

In the speech he delivered at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Deputy Minister Madaminov expressed his gratitude to the photographers on behalf of TURKSOY and said that they have taken some very beautiful photographs of Mount Sulaiman, which is of great importance and spiritual value to Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Minister Madaminov who further noted that the participating photographers tried to reflect Mount Sulaiman from their own perspectives added that this precious cultural heritage will remain an important legacy for future generations in the years to come.

Mr. Mar Topoyev began his speech conveying the greetings of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev to the participants and spoke about activities carried out by TURKSOY to preserve our cultural values. Mr. Topoyev who further  emphasised the strong contribution of the Photographers' Gathering of TURKSOY to this endeavour also added that thanks to this gathering, the shared Turkic culture is being passed on to future generations through photographs. Mr. Topoyev concluded his speech stating  that having come together with photographers of the Turkic World at the foothills of the sacred Mount Suleiman today is a great source of pride for them.

Following the speeches, certificates of appreciation of TURKSOY were handed over to artists of the Turkic World who participated in the Photographers' Gathering of TURKSOY held under the motto ‘Mount Sulaiman: Four Seasons’.
