Medal of TURKSOY awarded to the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye
Dr. Batuhan MUMCU, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, was awarded the medal of TURKSOY by Secretary General Sultan Raev in a special ceremony which took place in the Headquarters of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY).
Speaking at the award ceremony, Secretary General Raev stressed that the medal of TURKSOY is awarded to personalities who have contributed to the Turkic World and supported its unity and solidarity, and stated that Dr. Batuhan Mumcu deserved to receive this award due to his significant contributions to Turkic culture and unity, and that Batuhan Mumcu has greatly supported TURKSOY's efforts to expand the scope of its activities. Secretary General Raev said:
“We have undoubtedly always felt the support of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mr Mehmet Nuri ERSOY while carrying out important activities in such a wide territory”.
Dr. Batuhan Mumcu who also took the floor at the award ceremony of the Medal of TURKSOY said: "It was an unforgettable experience to serve TURKSOY for many years. Mumcu wished success to Fatih Gürkan, who took over as the country representative of the Republic of Türkiye to TURKSOY, which has implemented thousands of projects, has an important mission to strengthen the common cultural ties between Turkic nations, and has the duty to protect and develop the richness of our language and culture.
The ceremony took place in a meaningful atmosphere emphasising the richness of Turkic culture and the unity among Turkic peoples. The award ceremony in which participants mutually expressed their wishes of further success ended with a group photograph taken as a remembrance of the day.
