Magnificent concert dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of TURKSOY in Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan celebrated the 30th anniversary of the establishment of TURKSOY with a magnificent concert in its capital Bishkek.
"Cultural Days of TURKSOY" held in Kyrgyzstan and organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth of Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the 30th anniversary celebrations of TURKSOY ended with a Gala Concert which took place under the motto “We are Together” at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic.
In the opening speech he delivered prior to the Gala Concert, Mr. Altynbek Maksutov, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan congratulated TURKSOY on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its establishment and said that joint cultural events bring peoples closer together. Stating that TURKSOY made a unique contribution to the cultural rapprochement of Turkic peoples throughout its 30 years of activity, Minister Maksutov praised activities carried out by the Organisation for the promotion of Kyrgyz culture and art.
The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Sadyr Japarov also conveyed a message to congratulate TURKSOY on its 30th anniversary. The message of President Sadyr Japarov was read by State Secretary Suyunbek Kasmambetov.
The Secretary General of TURKSOY Mr. Sultan Raev who took the floor and delivered a speech at the concert, stressed that the establishment of TURKSOY is a feast of civilization and said: "Peoples of TURKSOY member countries share a common language, religion, history, blood and culture. We are united. We are Turks."
In the event, the 30th anniversary medal of TURKSOY was presented by TURKSOY Secretary General Raev to the cultural and artistic figures of Kyrgyzstan who contributed to the enrichment and promotion of Turkic culture and art.
The opening speeches were followed by a colourful concert in which artists who took the scene depicted the nomadic life of the Kyrgyz people. Vocalists, musicians and dance ensembles from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Turkmenistan performed traditional music, opera works and folk dances specific to their countries.
The concert featuring colourful performances by 360 artists of the Turkic World enchanted the audience which gave a strong applause to them as a sign of their appreciation.
The next phase of 30th anniversary celebrations of TURKSOY to be held in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan will be followed by events in Azerbaijan and Ankara, the capital of Türkiye.
