Koş Kanat – The Golden Bridge of the Turkic World

The “Koş Kanat” (Double Wing) television project, which has accelerated the cultural and spiritual rapprochement of Turkic states, has risen to a new international level. The Project which began two years ago as a golden bridge between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has now become a massive media platform uniting five states.

As part of the project’s third season, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan came together in a teleconference for a live broadcast.

The first episode on Nowruz garnered widespread acclaim from millions of viewers by showcasing the shared values, music and traditions of the brotherly peoples. TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev, who is directly involved in efforts to strengthen ties between Turkic states, highlighted the project’s significance within the Turkic World and the intense interest it has generated.

In his assessment of the matter, Secretary General Raev stated: “The fact that the ‘Koş Kanat’ project has resonated widely across the Turkic World and garnered such high demand is the most tangible demonstration of our spiritual unity. This is not merely a television programme, but a strategic project that reinforces the informational and cultural integration of kindred nations. Our aim is to create a borderless, free space for dialogue by presenting our shared cultural heritage through the language of modern media. Today, this initiative has become an important tool of cultural diplomacy symbolising the unity of Turkic peoples.”

Nuriza Çıntemirova, the project’s initiator and director, announced what awaits viewers of the Turkic World in the new season saying: “Our aim is to establish a dynamic media space where borders are transcended through art and direct communication. TURKSOY’s support has brought new life into the project and transformed it into a powerful instrument of cultural diplomacy. The participation of five countries will highlight the uniqueness of each culture and introduce our shared heritage in greater depth.”

With its scope expanding day by day, the project has made a significant contribution to the idea of creating a shared media space by taking information sharing among TURKSOY member states to a new height. “Koş Kanat” will continue to spread its wings in the coming period, bringing Turkic-speaking peoples together in front of the screen and strengthening the ties of friendship between them.
