Joyful celebration of the World Dance Day at the International Festival of State Ballet Schools of the Turkic World

Spectacular Harmony of Modern Dance and Folk Dances on Stage

The International Festival of  State Ballet Schools of the Turkic World organized in cooperation of TURKSOY with the Hacettepe University in  Ankara  celebrated the World Dance Day with a special event on April 30th, 2025. The event, heldd under the motto “Night of Modern Dance and Folk Dances” was strongly appreciated by the audience.

Talented students from top ballet and choreography schools of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Türkiye who took the scene at the Concert Hall of the Ankara State Conservatory of the Hacettepe University enchanted the audience with their colourful performance merging the universal language of modern dance with  colorful folk dances of the Turkic World. Traditional patterns  skillfully interpreted in a contemporary style showcased  the rich culture and artistic unity of the Turkic World reflected in the art of dance.

With this important event offering young artists the opportunity to express themselves on an international platform, TURKSOY once again showed the unifying power of dance as a performing art. The International Festival of  State Ballet Schools of the Turkic World contributes to the strengthening of  cooperation in the field of arts in the Turkic World while also fostering intercultural dialogue.
