Historic agreement between TURKSOY and the Uzbekistan Center for Islamic Civilization
A comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) and the Uzbekistan Center for Islamic Civilization to preserve the shared history and deep-rooted cultural heritage of the Turkic World and pass it on to future generations.
Within the framework of the afore-mentioned MoU, both institutions will deepen cultural ties through projects such as the digitalisation of rich cultural assets including manuscripts, museum collections, and archive documents as well as the establishment of joint virtual museums, and the organization of international exhibitions and forums.
Under the provisions designed to foster cooperation at institutional and technological levels, both parties agreed to establish a permanent coordination committee to oversee ongoing work and use artificial intelligence technologies in the restoration and analysis of cultural heritage.
This historic agreement aimed at the expansion of the partnership through concrete, project-based steps, will bring libraries, museums, and academic institutions across the Turkic World closer together through a shared cultural bridge.
