Gathering of Women Painters of the Turkic World in Marmaris

Organised in cooperation of the International Organisation of Turkic Culture TURKSOY with the Station Foundation, the Gathering of Women Painters of the Turkic World brought together 10 female artists from different regions of the Turkic World in the district of Marmaris, Muğla.

Throughout the event, which will continue until May 11th,  artists will create works inspired by their cultural heritage in Marmaris.

The Power of Turkic Women in Art

In his congratulatory message published on the occasion of the event, Mr. Sultan Raev, the Secretary General of TURKSOY, emphasised the unifying power of art and stated that: ‘The artistic heritage showcased by women of the Turkic World throughout history with their craftsmanship is now being successfully presented through modern art techniques, once again highlighting the power of Turkic women in art and their aesthetic perspective.’

Mr. Ali Kılıç, the President of the Station Foundation, one of the event's partners, expressed his pleasure to welcome female painters from the Turkic World in Marmaris and said: ‘Contributing to the creation of works shaped by our artists  in their inner worlds and reflected from their own perspectives is a great source of happiness for us.’

The artworks created throughout the gathering will be displayed in an exhibition to be held  at the gala event which will take place in Marmaris on May 11th, 2025.

The event is meant to support the creativity of female artists and increase the visibility of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World through art.
