Final Declaration of the Third Meeting of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World
Following their working meeting which took place in the presence of TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and TURKSOY Deputy Secretary General Sayit Yusuf the rectors of the universities which are members of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World visited the the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. After the minute of silence and the garland ceremony at the Mausoleum, Rectors of the member universities of the Union gathered in TURKSOY Headquarters to discuss the final declaration and the text they agreed upon was signed by TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev.

UNION OF ART UNIVERSITIES OF THE TURKIC WORLD

The third meeting of the Rectors of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World was held in Ankara, Türkiye on March 21st, 2024 under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Erhan Özden.
At the aforementioned meeting, participants evaluated the meeting held in Uzbekistan and agreed upon conducting an extended dictionary study in which the common alphabet and common music language will be explained, creating an inventory in the fields of architecture and urbanism, including the Turkic world and related communities, producing digital content for children and young people in the Turkic world, including the members of the Union in the Orkhon Exchange Programme and encouraging other universities in the member countries to participate in this programme and initiating studies for the implementation of the TURKSOY Art Scholarship programme. Participants further agreed to start working on the preparation of a book on the History of Art of the Turkic World, to ensure that the history of art of the Turkic world is included as a separate course in a separate curriculum, to initiate the creation of a joint office or institute in order to efficiently carry out the work of the Union and increase the number of Rectors and Vice Rectors who will participate in the meetings to be held by the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World.
While it was further decided that the 4th meeting of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World shall be held in Baku, Azerbaijan participants of the meeting also unanimously agreed upon the appointment of Prof. Dr. Erhan ÖZDEN, Rector of the Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts, as the President of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World following the resignation of Azamat SATYBALDY, Rector of T. Jürgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts.
Participants of the 3rd meeting of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World also unanimously decided upon the appointment of Prof. Dr. Eldor SHERMANOV, Rector of the Uzbekistan State Academy of Culture and Arts, as the Vice President of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World.
The members of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World expressed their gratitude to Prof. Dr. Erhan ÖZDEN, Rector of Ankara University of Music and Fine Arts and to Mr. Sultan RAEV, Secretary General of TURKSOY for their hospitality.
