Exhibitions introducing art and craftsmanship of the Turkic World in Berlin
Three separate exhibitions held in Berlin under the auspices of the International Organisation for Turkic Culture TURKSOY introuced the cultural richness of the Turkic World to art lovers in Germany.
Exhibitions, which were inaugurated on June 3rd, 2025 at the Cultural Centre of Azerbaijan were organised under the coordination of TURKSOY, in cooperation with embassies of member countries of the Organization in Berlin, and with the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) and the Yunus Emre Institute (YEE).
Silk Road: Handicrafts Exhibition
This exhibition, aimed at preserving the traditional craft culture of the Turkic World, featured exquisite examples of handicrafts such as weaving, ceramics, wood carving, and embroidery. The exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to closely explore the cultural traces of the historical Silk Road.
Women in Arts of the Turkic World
Focusing on the place of women in art and society, this exhibition featured works by artists from different regions of the Turkic World who interpreted their ancient identity with a contemporary perspective. The works presented a combination of tradition, aesthetics and identity.
The Spirit of the Turkic World: Reflections from Young Artists
This exhibition of works by young artists narrated the common history, mythology, and spirituality of the Turkic World through colourful compositions. The exhibition emphasised that cultural continuity is being transmitted to future generations by young artists.
The exhibitions, which attracted great interest from Berlin art lovers and diplomatic representatives, will be open to visitors throughout the day at the Cultural Centre of Azerbaijan.
